China has great physical diversity. It islocated in Southeast Asia along the coastline of the Pacific Ocean, China is the world's third largest country, after Russia and Canada. With an area of 9.6 million square kilometers and a coastline of 18,000 kilometers, its shape on the map is like a rooster.China is bordered by 14 countries.

The vast land expanses of China include plateaus, plains, basins, foothills, and mountains. China has numerous rivers and lakes. The Yangtze, the longest in China and even in Asia, is the third-longest in the world. TheYellow River, 'Mother River of the Chinese People', is just behind the Yangtze, both flowing into the Pacific Ocean.

China has large areas of mountainous land, about two-thirds of the country. Mount Everest is the highest mountain in the country with an altitude of 8844.43 meters.

During the winter vacation of 2018 I was lucky enough to visit some cities in Zhejiang province. My journey began from Wenzhou city. Most of Wenzhou's area is mountainous as almost 76 percent of its 11,784-square-kilometre (4,550 sq. mi) surface area is classified as mountains and hills. It is said that Wenzhou has 7/10 mountains, 1/10 water, and 2/10 farmland. There are interesting places to visit like Jiangxin temple, Wenzhou zoo, and xianyan feng jing qu.

Like I mentioned earlier, I started my journey from Wenzhou and my next stop was Shaoxing city. Shaoxing is a city in eastern China's Zhejiang province, straddling the Grand Canal and crossed by many waterways. It's known for its locally produced rice wine. The classical gardens and shrine at the Orchid Pavilion honor 4th-century calligrapher Wang Xizhi. The city's rich cultural history is also marked by native writer Lu Xun's former residence, now a museum.

After enjoying the blast of shaoxing I went to the commercial city,Yiwu. It is well known for being an international trade city. It has famous sightseeing like Xiuhu Park and Xiaozici Park andYiwu International Trade City. Yiwu international trade marketis the primary wholesale market complex inYiwu,Zhejiang.

My next and final stop was the beautiful Hangzhou city.It is the capital of China’s Zhejiang province, is the southern terminus of the ancient Grand Canal waterway, which originates in Beijing. Its West Lake, celebrated by poets and artists since the 9th century, encompasses islands, temples, pavilions, gardens and arched bridges.

Although I really enjoyed my visit I had to complete my journey in Hangzhou because of time limitation. In conclusion, I have learned that China is a very interesting and comforting place to visit or to stay in because it has very beautiful and interesting places that everyone should visit and it’s a place full of welcoming and helpful people with colorful cultures and customs.
